CRWC directed another successful Watershed Education Program during the 2021-2022 school year, with 27 in person field trips and 9 virtual sessions. Facilitated in partnership with the Santa Lucia Conservancy, the program hosted a total 867 visitors, of which 665 were schoolchildren. The Watershed Education Program served groups from all over the Monterey region, including Carmel and Salinas, with a focus on schools from disadvantaged communities and those serving children with learning differences. Field trip content included hands-on ecology lessons, owls and raptors, redwoods, and local biodiversity.
